I have had for a few months a fluid filled cyst on my index finger. Not painful but stretches the skin some. It's about 1cm across and if pressed will go down for a few minutes before coming back. It's between the first and second joint on an old scar site (penknife cut from childhood).
I mentioned it to the Dr. a few months back and he just said he had loads of bumps 'n stuff on his hands- and that may have been meant to be reassuring- but really didn't address the subject. I do suffer from gout and high BP.
Is this a normal subcutaneous cyst and harmless?
