Hello,

I got a palate expander about 3 months ago. About three weeks ago I noticed and foul taste in my mouth whenever I hit the palate expander with my teeth. Then about 1 week after that I started to have a really bad smell come from my mouth whenever I hit the palate expander along with the bad taste. I have been trying to brush extra well to see if I could get rid of these symptoms but nothing works. Any ideas/suggestions as to what is going on with my palate expander?

IT could be a build up of bacteria. Have you tried gurgling with an antibacterial mouthwash?
