I have a painless, soft lump near my anus and it's been there for almost a good year. It's not colored and I don't know what it is considering the fact that I'm only a sophmore in high school. I really don't want to go to the doctor to find out and I don't think I have a hemerroid because there's no sign of bleeding or pain. At first I got anxious if it was cancer (sure hope it's not), but who am I to know since I'm not even a doctor.

Maybe your school has a nurse that you could to see....If she thinks you should have this checked out, then take her advice...This way it will not bother you emotionally...Not to worry....I think you will be fine, but have someone look at it who has the knowledge to know what this is......

Best wishes,
Caroline
