I have a painLESS lump in front of my right ear. It doesn't cause any discomfort and when i visited a GENRAL doctor he said it was nothing to worry about and it would go if u put some kind of ointment(analgesic)...like iodex, bengay, tigerbalm etc........ i told the doctor that the lump does not cause any pain, then why the analgesic? he told me that the analgesic is to make the lump go....... 3 months after the visit the lump is the same....... it does not cause any pain or discomfort...... but it is visible...... since it is not symmetrical(only in front of my right ear) it is more visible.... it feels like a muscle....... anybody experiencing the same problem?? i have been doing a lot of web research in vain.......

i have one too. I'm only 16, and I've been telling my mom about it for the past two months. I'm going to the doctors tomorrow. And i'm really scared. My grandma said it could be a cyst. And it freaked me out, espically since it's so close to my brain and all. But, once i find out what it exactly is, ill let you know so maybe you'll get a hint of what it might be?
