I had a keyhole non ruptured appendectomy a week ago. Since then I cannot feel any urge to pee. Eventually I know I have to because my abdomen looks bigger and then I get pain. It hurts to urinate as well. Not sure if I have a bladder infection since I am not feeling the normal feelings. Also the swelling in my abdomen had gone down and the belly button hole was getting very visible and about 3/4 open. Now it has swollen up again and the belly button hole is nearly swelled shut. I left a message for my surgeons nurse on Friday.. it is now Sunday and of course she did not return my call nor did my surgeon. I am still very sore, get shooting pains next to my belly button and my pain medicine is all gone. Is all this normal? should I call mysurgeon again or go to a clinic? thanks
