Q: painful tooth after filling

Hello There

i've just had a new filing fitted in the a hole in my tooth.. it seems to be getting worse with shooting pains in the area ans soreness i'm aware it maybe post/trumor pain.but do i need to re-see my dentist? I'm taking some iburprofen which only seem to last a short while what more can i do, i'm not eating soileds or drinking much due to the pain!!! Question

I would try to eat on the other side of your mouth so let the other side can heal. Keep taking the ibuprofen. I would call your dentist if it doesn't get better in a couple of days. If you run a temprature you may want to call him.
