Q: painful sex 8 months after delivery ?

I gave birth to my daughter 8 months ago and went through the whole bleeding for days and had a sore vagina ... my doctor told me i should be ready to have sex after a month or so ... i do have sex now but it STILL is a little painful ... not to make myself seem like a promiscuous person but i've had plenty of sex and it's never hurt before ... whats the deal?

The part about pregnancy that most people don't tell you about is that it changes your body forever. You are not the same shape or size. If sex is still painful to you after 8 months, you might want to discuss it with your doctor.

My moms friend has the same problem. She has 5 children... after the 3rd one she has pain like that...but really bad. She just deals with it she says. The Dr. told her there was nothering she could do about it.
