In August I had a medical abortion. I was about 6 weeks along. There were still clots in my uterus after I took the medication, so I tried another round of medication. There were still clots after, but this time they told me they would go away on their own. Finally in late September I went back because I was still spotting and cramping. They found out that the clots had not gone away, and I had to get a D and C to remove them.

I didn't have sex for about 4 weeks after the procedure, and I've only had sex twice since. Each time it feels ok during, but it leaves me sore for days afterward. My biggest concern, however, is that when I orgasm even without penetration it is extremely painful. The pain occurs right inside the vaginal opening and is limited to one side. This happened with orgasms before I began having intercourse, so it doesn't seem like it's an injury from the sex. But the pain has gotten more intense since having sex. I never felt anything like this until after the procedure.

I also experience pelvic pain when I have to go to the bathroom (either 1 or 2), but it is usually relieved after I go. Not sure if this is related.

Do you think these symptoms could be indicative of a serious complication, like PID or adhesions, or is it more likely that I'm just not completely healed from the procedure?
