Q: Painful lump under arm

I'm 15 years old and I found this lump under my arm. I have had it before. It does hurt very badly; I have told my mother about this and she told me it would go away which it did. I'm still worried because it husts so bad I don't want to lift my arm. Is it anything to be worried about??

It sounds like you have a swollen lymph node. They swell when your body is fighting off an infection, cold, allergies... They will usually go away on their own. If the pain become unbearable or you get any other major symptoms, you should see a doctor.
