Hi everyone. My husband and I just started trying and did then baby dance the day before ovulation. Its now 8 dpo and I've had light cramps the past few days and today had a very heavy feeling in my u and went to the bathroom and the cramps just started coming on my lower right side. I've never experienced cramping this bad with AF. I could hardly get from the bathroom to the couch where I just laid there for 30 minutes while the cramps came and went - and while my stomach felt heavy and swelled. The cramps fully stopped after an hour and now I feel fine. I hope it was implantation. AF is due in one week so I'm hoping to test on Wednesday with First Response. We'll see!

Has anyone else had painful implantation cramps?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The abdominal cramps occurring few days after intercourse during ovulation time could be suggestive of pregnancy or implantation. Wait and watch for your next periods. Look out for development of any other new symptoms if pregnancy is suspected. If periods do not start within 10 days of expected period dates, or if you get abnormal periods, or if you suspect chances of pregnancy, consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). If you are not successful in your pregnancy plans in next 6 months to 1 year’s time, you should consider visiting your gynecologist/obstetrician for getting a complete infertility work-up done for you and your partner to see if there are any underlying causes for the infertility/inability to conceive. Treatment as needed (based on examination and investigations results) would be started to help you get pregnant. Consider visiting your gynecologist/obstetrician for further evaluation and assistance and be in regular follow-up monitoring as instructed.
Take care.
