have this hard painful lump under my mandibular area.it was swollen and very painful and i had fever..that was a month a ago.the doctor said my lymph node was swollen and would just have to wait until it goes away because it was viral.he did not prescribe me anything which i thought was very weird.the lump is still there and there is still pain if i press it but nt as painful as before.i can actully see a little lump if i stretch my neck.i do not think this is normal.
what should i do?the side of my left neck i a bit harder if you compare it to my right side of my neck..should i get an x-ray?im just very concerned and cannot just shrug this off as nothing.please help me..
