i am 23 years old female and im having a pain in my upper abdomen, on the right hand side, just under my ribs and its a burning, dull aching kind of stabbing pain sometimes, feels like muscles but im not sure? i felt this when i was in my third trimester with my son but i cant be pregnant because im on the implanon. my skin almost feels numb and i am bloated (dunno if thats related) but also the skin almost feels numbish and it can get worse when i eat and i feel when im sitting down sometimes i need to stretch upwards to feel better temporarily, or put my arm across where it hurts. i was wondering what its from, i thought maybe IBS but now im not too sure? thank you in advance for any help.

Extremely eHealthy
call your Dr and speak to a Nurse,
do u have G I problems
it is possible that your appendix is inflamed and that can be serious
have u taken multiple courses of antibiotics

its not near my appendix, i haven't taken any antibiotics either and have no problems that i know of. it doesnt hurt more or less when touching it, just kind of hurts randomly. and its on the right side but kind of in the middle there is a numb spot the size of a golf ball that i cant feel when pinching my skin? its hard to explain which is why i havent called and spoke to a doctor because right now i have no way to get to the doctor as i dont drive, have had it for a few months now, pain seems to have recently got a little worse though, more noticeable as it used to just be after i ate a lot when sitting down and now its more often.

im not sure if i have G I problems or not, I haven't tried fasting. I will try next week. I haven't tried baking soda, I will have to buy some. I don't think I have a hernia, I was looking into the symptoms, I don't have heartburn often (although I have had it a few times, nothing major) and i don't have chest or groin pain either. I'm not jaundice but I was worried if might be liver or gallbladder because I know thats where they are located. I thought it might be IBS but now I'm not too sure.

I know this was 3 months ago, but I am having a similar problem, and I am trying to research if maybe it is the Implanon that I also have. My pain is usually at night, but is exactly the same as u described. please let me know if you ever figured out what it was.

I'm not sure what it is, I got the implanon taken out in july and still have the problem, when I ask people they say it could be my gallbladder or liver inflammed but i haven't gone to a doctor about it because it hasn't gotten worse or better.. i will post a reply if/when i go to the doctor, please do the same if you figure anything out.
