Hi..I am 31 years old and am having a burning type pain in my left ribcage towards the back, sometimes it feels like it is pulsating. I also am having a full filling or like something is sitting under my left breast. If I stand I no longer feel it but if I am standing then it makes itself known. I have had my pancreas, kidneys, gallbladder, everything under the sun tested and all comes back fine. I was diagnosed 6 years ago with DJD(Degenerative Joint Disease) which is just a fancy name for arthritis. I was thinking maybe I could have a pinched nerve and all these symptoms be combined but doctors are finding NOTHING. Any one have any ideas or advice on what this could be and how to aleve the pain?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to make a diagnosis based upon the limited information that you have provided. There are multiple possibilities, including arthritis, inflammation of the cartilage in the ribs, kidney stones, kidney infections, pneumonia, fibrocystic breast tissue, gastroesophageal reflux disorder (EGRD), pancreatitis, gastritis or ulcers of the stomach, heart disease, and tumors, to name a few.

Since you only make reference to having undergone testing for "everything under the sun," it is difficult for me to offer any specific suggestions for further work-up.

Perhaps you can obtain a second opinion from another physician.

Sincerely/ Robert A. Wascher, MD, FACS
