hello i am currently experiencing the pain symptoms of CTS but none of the other symptoms ie numbness hot and cold loss of strength in hand but have been experiencing pain mainly in my wrist and when researching cts saw a diagram of where the CT is and that is exactly where the pain is coming from. it hurts to move my wrist any way i can i have stopped using that hand when on the cpu which i am on all the time and have put a tenser bandage around it to alleviate the pain and have rested it for a week. it is not subsiding or getting worse... it feels like my wrist is swelling but does not show signs of swelling... and oddly enough it feels like under my thumb and pinky need to be pulled apart and brings me some comfort when i do just that. also it seems if i place my hand flat on a surface and pull my pinky and thumb really far apart and aply quite a bit of pressure over my whole hand it subsides while under pressure.
this is rather annoying as i have to type and use my mouse with my left hand and am in constant pain...
is it maybe simply arthritis that has been brought on by my recent extended time at my computer?
i dont know what it is and is why i am seeking anyones input on what might be going on.
i have also never in my life had a wrist injury and it wasn't gradual was just all of a sudden there one day when i went to use my mouse.

Seeing you use your computer all the time, I would suggest having you hands at the level of your stomach...This is the way that we were taught in high school...Trying to use the mouse on the desk in front of you is rough on your wrist...Since I changed to my desk deal with the pull out work station, I have eliminated my problem...Otherwise, drugstores sell a good wrist brace...This would help you during the night as it holds your hand straight...Hopefully one of these things will help you...Good luck...
