Back pain symptoms may seem obvious. But do you know when symptoms of back pain are more serious or when to see a doctor? Learn what action to take & when...
i live in Arizona. I had bilateral knee replacement in 2007, which my rheumatologist thought was causing my back pain. After surgery, still had back pain. Had MRI which showed L3-L4 spondylolisthesis and severe degenerative arthritis L3-S1. I have pain mid back, down right side of my buttock and pain at the top of my left thigh, in the front. I have been to five different specialists and no one, including my GP, wants to prescribe pain medication. The best I felt was after my knee surgery when I was on pain killers (Percocet and then hydrocodone). I have to sit 8 hours a day at work and by the end of the day it is agony to walk. Besides not wanting to prescribe pain meds, no one wants to say I can't work. I am really feeling discouraged with the health care practices here in Arizona. Anyone have any suggestions? Sad

Have you seen a physio/ physical therapist. Core stability work can help alot with spondylolishesis.
Also you could consider a TENS machine to help with the pain

spondylolisthesis isn't cause of your pain.
"MRI showed L3-L4 spondylolisthesis and severe degenerative arthritis L3-S1."

Well,It seems that spongylosthesis and arthritis are reason of your pain,in fact, soft tissue injury possibly make sense as your symptom showed.

Anyway, you should change doctor for reputable advice.

Good luck!
