I am 56 year old woman with pelvic and right sided abdominal pain. Pelvic exam and tvs all clear . Pain present all time for 4 months. Peaks off additional soreness numerous times each day. Could it be appendix grumbling?

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

Since the pelvic examination is normal, conditions like pelvic inflammatory disease, diseases of the ovary, fallopian tubes or the bladder can be ruled out.

In such a situation the other causes of your pelvic pain can include - inflammatory bowel diseases, diverticulitis, Colitis, intraabdominal abscesses, chronic appendicitis, renal stones, etc.

The best way ahead would be to consult your doctor for a examination and tests including stool examination, urinalysis, and a CT of the abdomen and pelvis, which can help in proper diagnosis.
