I have been experiencing this pain on my right side around my heart area and then sometimes below my man breasts in the sternum area. I also have been having back pain along with this, since the latter part of last year.

I was taken to the emergency last year, but they determined it wasn't my heart. An EKG was done on me and also a full body CATSCAN.

I was then given inflammatory medication for muscles, but that didn't help. The pain was noticeable but not unbearable.

I was also given several types of reflux medication that didn't help.

Here recently it has been getting worse and bothering me all the time. I also flatulate a lot with this, but I'm not sure it is related.

I went back to the doctor 2 days ago, and another EKG was done on me and again my heart is fine.

My doctor now wants me to do a stress test and I will be doing that on this Friday (31 Jul 2009). If that turns out ok, he then wants to do an X-Ray on my side to see if maybe the ribs are causing me the problems are something else.

With this pain I also feel like the muscles on this side are straining, because it always feels like I have been working out. I have to contort that side of me a lot during the day to try to deal with the pain. I just kind hunch my right shoulder up and stretch it to try and deal with it, but it doesn't help.

I try to take pain killers but they don't help.

If I sit a certain way, I feel it more OR when I am showering I feel it more when I turn a certain way.

Sometimes I also feel a little sharp pain every now and then and that goes away, but not the continuous dull ache that I feel.

What could be causing this?

I need help and I am getting worried!!!
