Pain felt right under the right side of the rib cage, that may radiate through to the back between shoulder blades or to the right shoulder, can indicate a gallbladder disease.
This can come and go or be constant. It may be sharp, excruciating or dull.
It is often accompanied with nausea, vomiting, bloating, gas, feeling of fullness, diarrhea or constipation.
Usually, comes as a attack following a meal or at night, lasting from 1 to 4 hours.
The gall bladder, which sits just below the rib cage to the right of the stomach, is very tender to touch. It can be so painful that it takes your breath away.

This can be due to formed stone making its way down the bile duct, swollen or infected gallbladder.
