i'm 31 weeks pregnant and i have a pain on the right side of my 'area' not my vagina just the whole area all together. it kind of feels like i've pulled a muscle stretching or something, but i've had it for two whole weeks and it gets worse depending on the way i sit. the doctor said it was normal but she can't tell me what it is or how to relieve it? any ideas? its sometimes hard to walk or move, and running to the bathroom like i do every 10 minutes is getting pretty complicated!

that sounds like round ligament stretching. its completly normal.your uteras is growning and stretching and that is what the pain is from.

I think she knows what the problem is, just wants help to know how to releive it. If i was in your shoes i would try a heating pad, or just try to find a comfy spot and stay there as much as you can. I sort of know how you feel i am 39 weeks and i get pains in my area when i move certain ways, even walking or laying down can be uncomfortable.
Maybe even a tylenol would help?

I had the same kind of pain, but at 25 weeks. For a while, my doctor said it was round ligament pain. Turns out it was a Bartholin Cyst that needed drained - it was putting additional pressure down there - to the point I couldn't tell where the pain was coming from exactly. I know that sounds kind of crazy, but the pain would radiates. The easiest way to tell is to feel around the inside right side of your vagina for a lump or ask your doctor to do it. Sometimes during pregnancy, your Bartholin glad can get clogged because of all the hormones (and also because of some STDs - but you were probably check for all those during your first doctor visit). I lucked out and my ER doctor knew to look for it - my OB didn't seem to think of it (after a month of horrible pain). I switched doctors shortly after.
