Hi

I had a hernia op 9 weeks ago and am currently in full training. However I am now starting to experience similar pains on the opposite side and am worried I may need another hernia op. Is this to be expected, could it be just the opposite side straining? And is it common for the other side to go as well?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Kane

It could either be due to a strain of the tissues on that side or the presence of a new hernia.

Having a groin hernia on one side does increase your risk of developing a groin hernia on the other side.

Your surgeon can examine this area to determine whether or not you have a new hernia.
