I was having bad chest pains, went to the ER where they id xrays as well as a CT with contrast, all which came back normal, They said my heart was fine. I have heartburn like crazy and had been on Prevacid. They changed my Prevacid to Nexium thinking the pain in my chest was heartburn/stress related. A week after starting the Nexium which did seem to improve my chest pain I started having a pain under my rib cage on the left side, at times it will go to my side. I am still very gassy and my chest pains come and go. After burping alot things seem to get better but the pain under my rib case is dull and comes and goes. I am now having pain in my back, at time between my shoulder blades and at times only on the left side. My dr did a sonogram which ruled out my liver, kidneys etc and my gallbladder looked normal so she sent me to see a GI dr who still thinks its my gallbladder even thought the pain is on my left upper abdomon area. Had a HIDA scan today, waiting for the results. Anyone one else have gallbladder problems with left pain instead of right pain?
