pain is under the curved part of my left ribs?

i am a male. age 32. have ben having pain on my left side. below my ribs in the upper abdominal area. been to er twice in 3 days been told from chest wall pain to it may be gas. have had 2 ekgs, blood work toshow liver & pancreus are fine, have take stuff to clean me out, and gas ex pills. pain is under the curved part of my left ribs. was procribed vicodinenand its not helping pain. any suggestions
