this pain started abour 5 months ago and i saw a doctor about it. at first they thought it was gallstones but after an ultra sound and blood test and ct scan they pretty much ruled it out. then mysteriously the pain completly went away for aproximatly 8 weeks. now it has returned and is worse than before. one thing i have noticed is that the pain tends to subside if i eat a good meal. ive tried to improve my diet since the pain has started and have succeeded in having a healthier diet. could this pain possibly be caused by stress? if so is there any way to dull the pain without taking pain killers?

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Pain can be due to gastritis, ulcer formation and even Gall stones as sometimes small hidden do not show up in the scan.Consider taking Tums for few days empty stomach twice a day and observe for any changes.Take small frequent meals.Avoid spicy, oily, fatty food intake and drink lots of water.
Alternatively you can also get a "HIDA scan" done for Gall Bladder which helps in ruling out any changes in the gall Bladder.
Consider visiting a Physician for evaluation.

Take Care!
