Q: Pain in the left side
asked by: DoctorQuestion on June 5th, 2008
I have pain in my left side. It radiates from the back to the front and back again. It is like the pain I used to get in my ovary during my cycle but more on the side of my hip area.

The pains may originate from the kidneys, muscles, or spine. Ovarian pain can happen during the ovulation in the middle of the cycle. Pain from the kidneys is usually associated with difficulties urinating.

You need a physical examination, standard blood/urine tests, and an abdominal ultrasound to reveal the origin of the pain.

You may want to consult your primary health provider about this pain in your left.
