I think you at first you need to consult an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist. In the meantime, you can try inhaling steam vapor (make sure not to burn your face). Keep your room clean and dust free, maintain a comfortable room temperature (neither too cold nor too warm) Drink plenty of water and eat a lot of fruits (especially those containing vitamin C). Try to be physically active and psychologically stress free. Stress can add up with your sinus headache and make it more painful. So spend more time with friends, relatives, and people closer to your heart and don't think too much about the sinus problem. The more you think about it, the more it will bother you. After you make an appointment with an ENT doctor, he will probably give you a higher level of antibiotics with stronger dose than the ones you are taking now. If that does not work, he may suggest you nasal wash and decongestants. If they don't work and all the medication efforts fail and your sinus infection has lasted long enough to be termed as "Chronic Sinusitis", the doctor may suggest you FESS (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery), septoplasty (to correct the deviated septum), and/or turbinectomy (to correct hypertrophied nasal turbinate). The doctor will also ask you to get CT scan images of your Para Nasal Sinuses (PNS) and brain. You will also be asked to perform blood tests and certain other tests to ensure you are fit for the surgery. So that is how it goes in short. I am able to say all these because I had to go for FESS back in July 2008.
