Your question relates to nerve function of to spinal nerves at Lumbar 5 & Sacral 1.
When pain happens, the sensory nerves are overstimulated by pressure on them.
It is a good sign that the pain comes only when you are in the position you describe.
At 17 y.o. I suspect trauma to your hips in a twisting or rotation manner.
Athletic injuries are common in your age group.
See your family doctor. A series of tests will be needed to pinpoint the exact location
of your pain source.
