Appendix and Appendicitis Answer A9951
Hello,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

I do agree that the initial ultrasound and the blood tests in your case have come out as normal but I’ll suggest repeating the tests as the symptoms and signs are suggestive of appendicitis.

In fact, a better and a more sensitive test is a CT scan of the abdomen which can pick up the pretense of any inflammation in the appendix much more clearly.

I’ll suggest consulting your surgeon again as you can’t take these symptoms lightly and if the inflammation in the appendix persists for long, there’s a small risk of rupture of the appendix.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
