Q: pain in neck down esophogus

I'm 17 years old (just turned 17, it's my birthday today, which sukcs) and I'm a hypochondriac, but ever since yesterday I've had an odd pain in my neck and down my esophagus. I feel it when I breathe in hard and I seem to feel a little bit of it all the time. I admit to being a hypochondriac and I'm not sure if I'm even in the right section of this website, but I was wondering if it sounds like the symptoms of something serious. Breathing is not difficult or anything, just breathing in deeply seems to cause it to hurt in my chest. But the pain is also in my neck and even a bit in my mouth. It didn't hurt when I woke up this morning, but it came back my the middle of the day. Please help.

Do you feel heartburn?
Do you feel the pain more intensive when eating?
Do you have difficulties when swallowing?

I felt it to be more intense when I swallowed something. There wasn't any difficulty swallowing, the pain just became more pronounced when I swallowed.

If the pain is more intensive when swallow you might have some throat infection with swollen lymph nodes on the neck which also ache. It is probably nothing serious but you may still consult your primary health provider.
