Headache and Migraines Answer A7590
Hello and welcome to eHealth Forum!

Headaches that are more prominent on lying down are generally sinus headaches. The headaches are worst in the morning and improve as the day goes.

The other types of headaches that are worse on lying down are due to ankylosing spondylitis of the spine causing pinched nerves. It could also be due to pinched cervical nerves due to any other cause.

You should consult an ENT specialist to start with and a neurologist as on net and without examining it is difficult to give a confirmed opinion. You may need a MRI of the cervical spine or of the sinuses. Hope this helps. Take care!
