Starting in August I started having headaches over my right eye and right temporal pain. Since then, I have had a CT of the head which ruled out any tumors or aneursyms. After a CT of my sinuses they found a large retention cyst which I had surgically removed. After surgery in December, and a course of steroids and antibiotics, I had relief for about 1 month. Now I have rt temporal again, and am congested and my hearing sounds like I am in a tunnel some days (which was one of the symptoms I had prior to the surgery)I have spoken again to the ENT and he has put me back on Nasal Steroid Spray, and another course of Steroids. I did have a blood test to determine if I had an inflamed artery and the test came out negative. The pain in my right temporal area can be debilitating and I am at my witts end!! Any advice is welcomed.

Headache and Migraines Answer A30759
Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out. In view of the symptoms which you’ve described, presumably the headache can be migraine, glaucoma, tension or cluster headache. I’ll suggest consulting a neurologist for the same and you might need further evaluation like a fundus examination of eye or MRI etc.

Custer headaches are sharp headaches which some people feel as boring or drilling in the eye and are characterized by painful attacks over a period of many weeks. The pain of a cluster headache peaks in about 5 minutes and may last for hours. Then they may repeat after a few months. Hence it is important to rule them out.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
