Amanda , I am new here also , my symptoms also started after three months work on my three root canal fillings etc. It first began as tinitus, which my ENT specialist wrongly diagnosed as an ear infection , then as Meniers disease . several months and many courses of Antibiotics and betastin later I am still in the same positions. I have taken the matter into my own hands. where i live people dont take TMJ seriously , they think because you dont have anything swollen then you must be just hypersensitive .
I have now made a night guard for my teeth I use hot-ice tehrapy . I excercise my jaw frequently , eat as soft a food as i can and take relaxation session regularily throughout the day and most importantly I workout , daily, . I cant say I am a 100% , not even 50% but i feel a lot better and healthier.
It sound as though you do have TMJ but you probably have some other condition as well such as cervical spine issues , and it all amounts to very similar treatments , excercise , heat and ice , anti-inflamtory drugs while there is an inflamation ,also may be some muscle relaxant , and alot of relaxation sessions . you are not alone good luck
