Q: Pain in lungs

i'm 17 years old, and i have been a smoker since i was maybe 13 years old. Lately, especcially while smoking, i've had sharp kinds of pains in mainly my lungs while i smoke, and sometimes im worried it might be my heart as well that hurts while smoking. I know i run the risk of cancer as long as i smoke, and i have already made the decision to quit (for my second time) right after this pack is finished (i literally have about 3 smokes left.. so that will be soon) The last time i quit smoking, was maybe a month or so ago, and i was doing okay until something really personal happened in my family. Then i relapsed, and started again.

I sometimes feel the pain while im not smoking as well, but it isnt as severe as when i am smoking.

-I'm not throwing up
-I don't have pains in my shoulders whatsoever
-And i'm not coughing (although i just got over bronchitis, or mono last month)

So could this be some sort of lung disease? I thought maybe, except for the fact that i figured i would be coughing if it was.

Should i go to a doctor?
Or does anyone have Any advice? or do you think i should just wait it out after i quit smoking for a few days, and see how i feel?

I don't know if this really matters at all either, but i do frequently smoke cannabis as well. But i've never experienced any pains, or anything odd while smoking it at all.

Thanks in advance!

Chest pains, are, indeed a symptom of lung cancer, but, I don't think you have it.
Usually, it takes years of smoking to have the greater risk for lung cancer.
Bronchitis, with its common symptom, coughing, may lead to chest wall muscles ache.
If you continue to have chest pains associated with sputum, and fever, you may have pneumonia.
Chest pains can appear as a symptom of mononucleosis, too (due to coughing and swollen lymph nodes inside the chest cavity).

I went to a doctors.. I was diagnosed with Pneumonia, it's been 5 days on medication, yet, the pain still seems fairly constant.

Just today i started feeling a burning/tingling sensation on the inside of my left fore-arm. I don't know if this could relate to the pneumonia? Or if it's something of irrelevance, but it's quite a bother as well..

My muscles have been really weak too, and i've been experiencing pain in them, i know this is a common symptom of pneumonia though, and i just thought i'd throw that out there.
