Q: Pain in lower jaw

suddenly i developed pain in 3/4 tooth in lower jaw on left side from the end of the last tooth while eating chapti made from wheat flour.
please tell me the cause and course of action to be taken.

Is my OTC night guard to blame?
I'm a serious clencher. My teeth feel as if they are pushing together, which i thought would go away after i had my wisdoms removed. I use an OTC night guard, but I'm not sure if its doing more harm than good. Could it be changing my bite. I wear it even during the day. I don't have insurance so i can't consult a dentist.
