Since I was 14 I can remember sleeping in to long and my lower back hurting so that would be my alarm to get up. I have since then lifted alot of heavy things (Air Conditioners). At the age of 19 I would start feeling the lower back pains along with a pinching feeling in my upper buttox every now and then. Now I am 31 and still have the lower back pains, working part time as a small air conditioning company owner and full time as a technical rep. for a nationwide tool company on a computer daily. The symptoms are getting worse by the year now. I have had 2 mri's and 2 cat scans with negative results. My symptoms now are lower to mid back pain always (worse the longer I lay in bed)when I get up in the morning my right side middle back keeps wanting to lock up as if a charlie horse then one long sharp pain puts me on my knees and tears in my eyes about 10 minutes later then I just ache all day. The newest symptom is that I keep a kink in my neck that works down my right shoulder and middle back. I presently am taking lorocet 10/650 and yes it takes the edge off but I still feel the ache. I have been to 3 doctors and 2 hospitals on emergency because sometimes the pain miagrates to my mid abdomen with no diagnoses. I am a 31 year old male and my internals such as gall bladder and spleen are ok. The pain seems to feel better when I lean forward while sitting up or pull my knees to my chest at night while I sleep but after a bit of time the pain intensifies and I find myself constantly changing positions or tossing and turning in bed all night. I believe it is either nerves or muscles and need any input for cases such as mine so that I can go over this with my doctor. All does appear to be deriving from the right side however last week my wife and I went to the grocery store and I picked up a 5 lb. bag of potatoes and both the right and left middle sides of my spine had pain that made me feel that I was just going to fold. This has happened 2 times since and I feel that whatever this is, it is spreading and it is worrying me and my wife.
