Q: pain in left side of abdomen

Hello, I am a 25 year old male. For the last week or so I have felt a pressure in the left side of my abdomen just below the ribcage especially when laying down. I have been gaining weight lately so I figured it was just growing pains or something like that. When I press on my left side there is no pain but I'm starting to feel occasional sharp pains in various spots from my left chest to my lower left abdomen. Any ideas?
