This injuyr is kind of silly the y it happened. I was standing on some rocks. My left foot was resting on the edgdge of a very small slope. Just big enough for the rocks to slide from under My feetAnd causeing my foot to straighten out in a position much like streaching your calf muscle. When my full body weight went down on my straighten foot my thigh area began to burn bad.

The pain is on the front side of the thigh about 6-8 inches below where the leg joins the body. I noticed a big bruise on the side of the leg. (left side of left leg. After a few hours of pain yesterday I thought it cleared up. Well I was getting out of bed and stretched that area again. The same emense pain returned. On a scale to 10 I give it a 20. I have Ice on it right now trying to kill the pain. I also notice a bunch of muscle type spasms in the area as the pain start to go away. The pain feels like it is burning (on fire) along with the usual feeling of pain.

What did I injure? I figure it may be a coomon injuries in sports and working out. Thats why I put it here. Should I get out my crutches?

I looked at a leg map. the resctus femoris Muscle run right through ehre the pain is. Could I have torn that muscle? If so what is the prper recovery treatment. Currently the pain will not fully subside. It sits at about a 4 level. Trying to get my leg to move forward is not ans easy task. NO so much for the pain involved. Just simply trying to get it to move.
