I am 37 years old and I have been having kidney problems for the last 8 monthes. I have had on an average of one kidney infection a month sometimes more. I have had a kidney infection for the last three and a half weeks and am on my third antibiotic. I still have considerable amount of pain and a low grade temp. 100.4 and I have nausea some vommiting sharp pain in my left flank area and some burning and pain that shoots up my back when I urinate. I feel as though I should call my doctor but feel as though I am being a pain in the neck. I am desperate for an answer as to what the should be doing for me and if I have become immune to antibiotics. Can you help with some advice?

Hello....Welcome to EHEALTH
I would recommend calling your doctor or going to the ER.
The pain should have eased up with medication.
Did you have an ultrasound or CT scan?

Don't ever feel like you are being a pain. This is your health, please listen to your body.

Welcome to e-health. I agree with serenity. You need to find out what is causing the kidney infections. Are you seeing a nephrologist or urologist? It's your health. Let us know how you are doing. Good luck.

kidney stones
I have had stones for the last 24 years. As of this writing I am fighting one now. I just spoke with my Dr. and his concern since he is already treating me for recuurant UIT, that if I run a fever this evening, to go the ER and he will probably have to put a stint in, i have had that done before. I am on pain pills for now. I have a stone in each kidney, with the bigger stone on the right side, which is the one I am trying to pass. I had in the pass ,surgery for it and they busted them. My question is, if they brake it up dont you go through alot of pain to pass it. Thats what happen to me.

thanks
br
