Randomly I will wake up with a weird painful twitching in my eye. The pain escalates as I move my eyeball up, but if I keep looking down it is not painful. Tears develop along with the twitching pain and then once the tears drop, it is gone. This will happen every 30min to 1 hour till about the afternoon. It is always in just one eye and can occur in either eye. My doctor diagnosed me with computer screen syndrome when I had an eye exam and after I told him about this condition he said it was due to the eye strain from looking at the computer. I also have a slight astigmatism that hasn't become bad enough to get contacts or anything. I would love some advice on what this may be as it is really frustrating and annoying. Thanks in advance.
