I was diagnosed with IBS several years ago, and my tubes have been tied for 8 years, recently prior to the onset of my period I have been getting sever pain beneath my ribs on the right generating down to my pelvic area accompanied by contractions. In general I am ucustomed to the pain, however recently the pain has been increasing and keeps me laid up in bed till the day after the first day of my period. On Saturday the pain increased to point where I was crawling to the bathroom, dry heaving, vomiting, and chills. I placed a heating pad on my stomach but it did nothing to make the pain subside. My husband placed me in a hot bath and kept pushing fluids, which didn't stay down. I spent the night in the fetal position crying and clutching my stomach. The next day the pain seemed to decrease expodentially, however when I would step down with my right foot it would cause a pain and if I turned in the wrong direction if felt as if something was getting stuck and pinched in my stomach and I am tired all the time. I have gone to the doctors and they are ordering Ultra Sounds, I don't know how much more of this I can take --- does anyone have any answers, remedies, or a direction where I can turn. I am scared.
