Hello,

29 year old male here, I've been going around with doctors/specialists for the past two months trying to figure out what the cause of this problem is. To quickly summarize:

It started with an "episode" while I was at work, out of the blue. My vision tunneled for a minute and I got a warm, tight feeling in my chest. Started having trouble breathing, palpitations -- thought I was having a heart attack or something. I ended up at the ER that night experiencing the following symptoms: mild fever, confusion, weakness, "scratching" pain in the upper right chest area (below collar bone), pressure/tightness in left chest, difficulty breathing (unresponsive to treatment for bronchiospasm/asthma). I was diagnosed with Bronchitis and let go.

Weeks later, I am still experiencing symptoms. No more "episodes" but similar feelings. Doctor prescribed Kapidex for acid reflux which I have been taking almost a month since. More tests have been done, including an upper GI endoscopy which showed negative on all biopsies but revealed a case of gastritis.

My current symptoms: persistent pain on the left side, just along the undercurve of my ribcage; there are also frequent "gurgling" sounds and physical twitches in this location. Bouts of "flushing", where my face, arms and back feel considerably warmer than the rest of me. Occasionally, first thing waking up, having the need to regurgitate which tastes like bile. Additionally, when I lay down I sometimes experience the warmth/tightness in the chest which leads to a brief loss of breath and palpitations, this usually lasts only momentarily and is relieved by moving.

So I guess my question is, could this all be due to the gastritis or is there likely more to it? I'm becoming rather frustrated with the whole situation of having gone this long, done so much and really having no concrete answers.

Any input appreciated, thanks.
