So, at first, I thought I pulled my hamstring. I had been playing soccer a couple times a week, playing basketball and running occasionally. After soccer and basketball were overwith, I took about a week and a half off, but still, i could feel the acute pain extending from my right glute through the back of my knee.

When I run, after about a 1/2 mile or mile, I begin to feel a pinching behind my knee, and also slightly behind my glute. The pain gets worse and worse as I continue a run. It seems like it doesn't really appear on every stride, though. But the times it does, it's pretty bad.

I've improved the flexibility in my right leg to where the right and left are even, but I can get some pain when stretching the right leg still.

1) What are your opinions on what the heck is wrong with me?
2) What do I do to recover from this? (hopefully not weeks off, but if that's what I need, oh well)

thank you very much!
