Q: Pain before orgasm

To start, i am a male asking this question for my girlfriend, she doesnt want to talk to anyone about this, so i figured the anonymity of the internet would be a good place to start. Here is my question/problem.

I was talking to my girlfriend today, sharing stories, and she said she has never experienced an orgasm before, ever. I was suprised to hear that she hadnt even ever gotten one manually. So, we figured maybe we would give it a try. I started to use my fingers and she seemed to enjoy it when she suddenly made me stop. When i asked what was wrong, she said she didnt want it to hurt again.

Apparantly, the reason she has never had an orgasm is because just before she feels like she is about to, she said she experiences pain. When i asked her how much, she simply said "enough for me to stop". When i asked what kind of pain, she replied "the best way to describe it, is like a sunburn".

What exactly is the problem? Is it serious? Should she see a doctor? Any advice would be appreciated.

EDIT: I should add that she said that it has been like this her whole life, not just recently.

I have never heard of anything like this. I'm assuming the pain is on her clitoris. Is she dry when this is happening or have you tried using a little lubrication on her clitoris to reduce the friction?
