I have recently in the past year and a half had a pretty major AP Lumbar spinal fusion. After a full recovery I was experiencing major fatigue and muscle/ joint tenderness and pain, after several tests at Mayo, Rochester I was diagnost with Fibromyalgia, chronic pain syndrome and Restless Leg syndrome. My question is, is recently in the last two months I at night began getting stabbing/needle like pains ALL over my body. It has become increasingly worse and now can't even manage more than a TOTAL of maybe two hrs a night. Well I can't function like that and am just horrified by the pain. Please tell me what could be going on and what I can or need to do to tame this so I can sleep. I really fear adding another pill in my life as I have been on so many drugs with my surguries. I am desperate for some clarity on this matter... I am so over tired I can't even reconize my eyes anymore
Fibromyalgia is a debilitating disease that produces widespread pain, disturbed sleep and exhaustion. Although the muscles hurt everywhere, from head to toe, they are not the only cause of discomfort. As the pain is often triggered by nervous system processes, the diffuse, body-wide symptoms are greatly magnified. The yogic practices which are effective in managing this condition are Palm Tree Pose (Tadasana), Swaying Palm Tree Pose (Tiryaka Tadasana), Waist Rotating Pose (Kati Chakrasana), Anti-Rheumatic Group (PM 1 series), Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana Pranayama), Humming Bee Breath (Bhramari Pranayama), and Psychic Sleep (Yoga Nidra).

My Dr put me on Neurotin for the pins and needle thing. It helps a bunch because I tried to stop taking it after some time and the pins and needles came back, however, when I am in a full flare there is nothing that works for me. The stabbing, pins and needles are so scary....especially if it goes in my eyes. Today is real bad for me....tomorrow may be better, or worse or the same...it just is
