It's interesting, I was in quite a bit of pain after my stent was implanted and it was very discouraging. Then one morning when my pain was particularly acute I began playing some music my wife and I loved. Hours later I noticed my pain had vanished. What!? It's true. Someone told me that pain and pleasure run along the same pathways to the brain---but they cannot coexist. It's one or another. That seems very true. I had been forcusing in fear on what I expected when I ate and so got what I expected. Then when my attention was diverted in joy it vanished. Give it a try. But whether it's the Beatles or Beethoven or something else make sure it's something you really love. sunny

Also...eat smaller meals until recovery, not what you were used to eating before all this. Eat half a sandwich instead of a whole, etc. Easier to digest and so less trouble. Big meals are looking for trouble.
