hello everyone. for 2 months now ive been getting pain and pressure in my temples, forehead, and top of head. i also get a pressure through my nose and upper teeth which is a little more of a pulsing type sensation. i thought it was a sinus infection but the ct sinus scan showed normal. i got allergy tested and i do have allergies to cats, dogs, dust, a few tress, a few grasses and a few weeds. i still need to go back and see the allergist again.

i started a daily zyrtec which has helped the pressure some especially at the top of the head.

so i have a few questions if anyone can please help me with them i never knew i had allergies until 2 weeks ago.

1. is possible to have a clean ct scan and have allergy discomfort pain/pressure?

2. is there a better remedy the doctor can tell me other than or on top of zyrtec?

3. i have not tried an oral decongestant, will that help?

4. with a noraml ct scan can it still be a sinus problem?

5. how do allergies medically cause the pain and pressure (whats physically and chemically going on)?

if anyone out there can help me out id really appreciate it. this is really getting me down and im running out of ideas. i dont want to bite on high dose painkillers all day, they barely do anything. if anyone who has experience with allergies or these symptoms my email is gurjasgrewal (AT) gmail (DOT) com.

i stopped the zyrtec cause i have to see the allergist again, and noticed an increase in the pressure on top of head, im just doing the saline sinus rinse twice a day hoping itll help.

thank you for your time and for reading this.

im also wondering if i could still have a sinus problem. does anyone know anything about the sphenoid sinus. apparently ct scan do miss it occasionally so i maybe ask for an endoscopy of the sinuses. my symptoms fit that sinus location.
