I am a 54 year old female who underwent Gastric Bypass this past January. I have lost 141 pounds, and still have 80 to go. My problem is this.....ever since the surgery, I have been experiencing pain and nausea with vomiting with almost everything I eat. I do take the multi vitamin to make up for that, but I'm confused. Its not always the same things that put me into such pain. I can have, for instance, an english muffin or piece of salmon one day, with no pain, and a few days later, experience major symptoms. I can't put my finger on one type of food that brings me constant pain. The only thing that does not make me vomit or keel over in pain is sweets, but I of course limit those severely. What is causing this problem. I have talked to other bypass patients who are not experiencing any pains whatsoever. I eat a lowfat diet. I have an appointment with my surgeon in January, but I dont want to wait till then to be pain free when eating a healthy meal, its constant. Can you help?
