Our 2.5yr old daughter caught what seemed to the Doctors like a Stomach Virus last week. For 3 days she had Vomitings and Diarrhea. On the 4th day she started getting better but also from that very day she started complaining about pain in her anal area and had been crying hysterically when she poops. We took her to the doctor 3 times and every time the doctor checks her stomach and the poop area says nothing is wrong and ask us to put some Vaseline. We then switched her doctor, the new Doc says it could be Gas and Constipation so we started giving her Mylicon, BioGaia Probiotics and food that will help her stool soften. All this with no change in her symptoms. She complains of pain only near the anal area more when she passes gas, but the pain is severe when she poops. After Pooping she gets normal for some hours. We dont know what to do now, we have been very concerned and cant see our baby go through this unknown pain. The new Doc says that the next option is to do a rectal exam and more invasive tests. If anyone of you has any suggestions please reply. Thanks in advance.
