I'm new at this, I'm 17 years old and I have been having sex with my boyfriend for about 2 or 3 months. He was my first and I was his first. The past 2 times that we had sex it really started hurting and burning some in my vaginal area. It scares me and I don't know why it's doing this. We are using condoms too. Also it started itching some but not much and this is the first time that it has. Please help me.

You could have a urinary tract infection. Get AZO or drink lots of cranberry juice and water to see if it helps.

It doesn't hurt when I urinate though. When I put that up I didn't realize that it is red around the Vagina and Labia. it is also tender to touch a little but not much.

I have heard of yeast infections other places but I don't know that it can transfer from down there to somewhere else?? Good question. I would look into getting it treated though. You don't want it getting any more painful than it already is.

I don't know that it will go away without treatment. Maybe hold off from sex for a little bit to see if that helps. You may just be really irritated down there. I know it's hard to back off when it's new to you and your hormones are going crazy. Try that first and if it continues think about treatment. If the discharge starts to smell you have an infection and should go to the doc otherwise if the symptoms persist there are things you can buy at the store for treatment.

Well all women have small amounts of yeast in their body and if more is introduced it can multiply causing the symptoms you have. Even women who haven't had sex can get yeast infections it's all part of being a woman! Men can get it from women but if you are using condoms it should lessen your bf's chances.

If he washes his hands and doesn't touch anything else?? He could put a condom on his finger to be safe Smile A yeast infection is very common. It isn't an STD or anything so I wouldn't worry too much. You can get them without having sex so your mom shouldn't get mad about it. I'm pretty sure you can even get them from using tampons.

Really? I never read about the tampon thing so wow. Um is it possible that when you are close to your period that, that could cause the pain when having sex? That;s what we thought it was when it first happened.

You know I'm not sure about that. I suppose you could be extra sensitive around that time but if it has lasted a couple of days I wouldn't just rely on that. You can get pretty sore from having a lot of sex so just hold off for a week and let your body heal itself.

yea that's what we were planning on doing. I just looked up some causes on Yeast infections and I didn't do andy of those, I think, except sex. But I don't really see how just that could cause it.

It all has to do with yeast being introduced inside. Doesn't matter how it gets there but once it's there it can multiply and cause symptoms.
