Q: Pain after stitches in vagina

I am hoping by posting this message that I may find a way out of my dire plight. Sex with my husband has become torture with excruciating pain. A few years ago as a result of cut effected on my vagina for giving birth, two stitches were put thereafter. One resorbed completely, the second got infected and had to be done over again. Everything appeared ok, it looked resolved and physicalexamination shows no trace. However since then I have experienced pain during vaginal intercourse. The pain is at the spot the stitch was. Feels like a needle tearing into me when he penetrates me and on each of his thrust. When I manage to get him to accept to go in softly and slowly and after my full lubrication, the pain is much less and I can take a little pleasure. He however goes for abrupt dry penetration and it hurts so terribly. Since two years he has stopped having vaginal intercourse with me and goes for abrupt dry anal penetration. I did not want, but accepted reluctantly. He brutally penetrates my anus dry and I suffer excruciating pain. Can anyone please help. How do I manage all this. Can the pain at the stitch point be neutralised?

Go back to the doctor and have them recheck this area..There may be a stitch that continues to poke up when pressured and they can remove ..As far as your husband brutally and abruptly hurting you is uncalled for and unacceptable..Don't let him continue doing that to you..He is being selfish in his wants and not understnading in your problems..If you want to help him get his release without letting him brutalize you do so..He can hurt you the way things are going and there is nothing that gets my dander up more than this kind of stuff..

Thank you kdlee.
I went to my doctor a few years ago. She told me there is no remains of stitch and that it could be scar tissue inside the muscle and that nothing can be done.

How are you? I would think that the doctor could do surgery to possible redo the area of pain..

I guess I think this way because I had a tooth removed..There was a bone sliver and the oral surgeon told me not to be a baby that it would work it's way out..The thing hurt bad..I kept digging at it until I got it out..It was long and sharp like a splinter..Once it was gone the pain subsided..Needless to say I will not ever go back to the oral surgeon nor reommened him..

Maybe you need to go get a second opinion-it wouldn't hurt..
