I had internal haemorroids banded during a colonoscopy on 17 June, over 2 weeks ago. Things were progressing OK until 9 days after the op and now I have to take paracetamol and Tramodol to get some relief from the burning in my rectum. I am being told to just keep taking painkillers and it will come right eventually - maybe 10 days time?? I can't function normally, can't sit for any length of time. I have no bleeding, no mucus, bowels are normal - just pain!!! The same pain that I had before the colonoscopy only it is worse!! Hot baths don't help - a hot wheat bag is soothing - I don't want to spend all day lying down - I have to keep moving and doing things to take my mind off the pain! BUT I can't concentrate. The Tramodol makes my head dizzy but that is preferable to the pain. Help!
